Workshop climate change adaptation in Indonesia


From 8–9 March 2010, the Co-operative Programme on Water and Cimate, CPWC, organizes a workshop on adaptation to climate change in Jakarta, Indonesia. Together with Indonesian and Dutch partners, the UNESCO-IHE Insititute for Water Education, will contribute.

The workshop is held in the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding by 4 parties in both Indonesia and the Netherlands (Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management (V&W) and Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, VROM).
The participants of the workshop will be governmental staff working in water and climate change. Part of the workshop will be a training of trainers, and the development of a toolbox for water-related adaptation to climate change in Indonesia and neighbouring countries. Partners in the workshop are, amongst others, Puslitbang Air, Delta Alliance, WUR, Deltares, the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, UNDP Indonesia and the World Bank.
